कसाब ने ये विचार विशेष जज एमएल ताहिलियानी के सामने ऑर्थर रोड जेल की हाई सिक्योरिटी सेल से वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के मार्फत जताए।
ग्रे टी-शर्ट पहने कसाब से जब कोर्ट ने पूछा कि क्या वह मुकदमे के लिए वकील चाहता है तो उसने कहा, ‘यदि मुकदमा चलेगा तो मुझे वकील की जरूरत होगी।’ कसाब के मामले की अगली सुनवाई 30 मार्च को होगी और तब तक वह न्यायिक हिरासत में रहेगा।
कसाब के अलावा 26/11 के हमले को अंजाम देने वाले लश्करे तैयबा के आतंकियों के मददगार आतंकी फहीम अंसारी और सबाउद्दीन अहमद की भी कोर्ट में पेशी हुई।
जज ने जब कसाब से उसकी पसंद के बारे में पूछा तो उसने कहा, ‘क्या आप उस वकील को बुला सकते हैं, जो मेरी ओर से 27 नवंबर को हाजिर हुआ था?’
