आत्मघाती बम विस्फोट पश्चिमोत्तर सीमांत प्रांत के जन्डोला कस्बे के एक भीड़ भरे बाजार में सड़क किनारे स्थित रेस्टोरेंट में हुआ। माना जा रहा है कि यह दक्षिणी वजीरिस्तान में सक्रिय आतंकवादी गुटों की आपसी लड़ाई का नतीजा है।
एक खुफिया अधिकारी ने बताया, “जब आत्मघाती हमलावर ने खुद को उड़ाया उस समय रेस्टोरेंट में तुर्किस्तान बितानी समूह के करीब 25 आतंकवादी जमा थे।”
घटना में शीर्ष तालिबान कमांडर बैतुल्लाह महसूद के विरोधी और बितानी गुट के वफादार एक कबायली नेता सहित 10 लोगों की मौत हुई और कम से कम 20 व्यक्ति घायल हुए।
यह गुट पाकिस्तान के शीर्ष तालिबान नेता बैतुल्लाह महसूद के खिलाफ संघर्ष करने वाला एक आतंकवादी संगठन है। इन संगठनों ने हाल के महीनों में जन्डोला और दक्षिणी वजीरिस्तान में एक दूसरे पर कई हमले किए हैं।
उधर गुरुवार को तड़के उत्तर वजीरिस्तान के मीर अली इलाके में एक संदिग्ध अमेरिकी ड्रॉन हमले में कम से कम चार आतंकवादियों की मौत हो गई।
अपना नाम गुप्त रखने की शर्त पर एक खुफिया अधिकारी ने कहा कि तालिबान समर्थक नेता मलिक गुलाब खान के घर पर दो मिसाइलों से हमला किया गया , जहां उसके मेहमान भी ठहरे हुए थे। हमले में चार लोग घायल भी हुए हैं।

At least 12 persons were killed in a suicide attack in Jandola, Frontier Region, connecting South Waziristan with Tank District of NWFP. As per details, after a long period of lull it was the first suicide attack in the main bazaar of Jandola Thursday morning as a youngster entered a hotel and blew himself up with explosives strapped around his body. The officials confirmed killing of six persons but independent sources informed that 12 people were killed and 25 injured.
Officials also confirmed the attack but they termed it an outcome of rivalry between two militant groups in the area. Both the groups are engaged in hostilities since long. The recently emerged Zainullah group has levelled serious allegations against TTP chief Baitullah Mehsud and his associates. Both the sides are now involved in trading allegations against each other, causing widespread unrest amongst the local people.
It merits mentioning here that recently the rival militant groups headed by Mullah Nazir and Baitullah Mehsud announced establishment of a Mujahideen body. Since such a decision, overall situation in both North and South Waziristan seems normal. But after the United States decision of declaring head money on Baitullah Mehsud, Abu Yahya Al Laibi and Haqqani network, violence has once again erupted in the region.
