आतंकियों व मौकापरस्त नेताओं में फर्क नहीं - अक्टूबर 3, 2008 ,

पानीपत : कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी ने कहा कि आतंकियों और आतंकवाद पर स्वार्थ की राजनीति करने वाले दोनों ही देश की एकता से खिलवाड़ कर रहे हैं। बृहस्पतिवार को हरियाणा के पानीपत में पार्टी की सामाजिक क्रांति रैली को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि एक तरफ आतंकवादी दहशत का माहौल बनाकर एकता और भाईचारे को खत्म करना चाहते हैं और दूसरी तरफ स्वार्थ की राजनीति करने वाले भी इसका फायदा उठाने से नहीं चूकते। ऐसे लोगों को लगता है कि राजनीति में कामयाबी का यही रास्ता है।

उन्होंने कहा कि जनता को देश के बाहर के आतंकियों और देश के अंदर के मौकापरस्त नेताओं से सावधान रहने की जरूरत है। इनके हौसले खत्म करना जरूरी है। यूपीए सुप्रीमो ने कहा कि पानीपत की ऐतिहासिक जमीन पर आने से उन्हें काफी खुशी हुई है। दलितों, पिछड़ों और गरीबों के लिए महात्मा गांधी रिहायशी योजना आरंभ करने के लिए बापू के जन्मदिन से बढ़ कर कोई दिन नहीं हो सकता। सफलता तभी है, जब सबसे कमजोर व्यक्ति को सहारा मिल जाए। महात्मा गांधी की दरिद्र नारायण की कल्पना यही थी और इसी पर कांग्रेस सरकार काम कर रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि आजादी के बाद बापू की प्रेरणा से नेहरू ने आजाद भारत में निर्माण शुरू किया। भाखड़ा बांध से लेकर अनेक योजनाएं बनाई गईं और उन्हें कार्यरूप दिया गया।

देश के चहुंमुखी विकास के लिए ही इंदिरा गांधी ने हरियाणा राज्य का गठन किया। मनमोहन सिंह के नेतृत्व में सरकार देश के सभी भागों और समाज के सभी वर्गों के विकास के कार्य करा रही है। लेकिन हमें आगे जाना है और आगे जाना है। इसी को ध््यान में रखते हुए सरकार ने परमाणु करार किया है। इससे देश का और विकास होगा।

गांधी ने कहा कि पानीपत का जिक्र किए बिना उत्तर भारत का इतिहास पूरा नहीं होता। यह शहर अली शाह कलंदर की जमीन है, जिन्होंने ममता और करुणा का संदेश दिया। यही वह जमीन है जहां आजादी की पहली लड़ाई से करीब 20 वर्ष पहले हाली पैदा हुए। उन्होंने कहा कि हाली की प्रसिद्ध पंक्तियां है-फरिश्ते से बेहतर है इंसान बनना। मगर इसमें लगती है मेहनत ज्यादा। जो यह मेहनत कर लेता है, वह महात्मा गांधी बन जाता है।

इससे पहले कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ने गांव गढ़ सरनाई में दलितों, पिछड़ों और गरीबों के लिए महात्मा गांधी ग्राम रिहायशी योजना का शुभारंभ चार लाभार्थियों को सौ गज के प्लाट के आवंटनपत्र देकर किया। उन्होंने गांव में पौधरोपण भी किया।

PANIPAT (Haryana): Describing terrorism as a national problem, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday said it should be faced collectively.

Some people were trying to derive political mileage out of the “situation.” This came as a shot in the arm for the nation’s enemies who wanted to kill “innocent people and spread terror.”

Ms. Gandhi was addressing a rally here after launching the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna and distributing possession letters to four of the 328 beneficiaries at Garhsharnai village.

She appealed to these people to realise that the enemy’s real intention was to destabilise the nation. “No strength other than national unity and integrity can face these challenges.”

The United Progressive Alliance chairperson lauded Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for ushering in rapid and integral development in the State.

She recalled that her mother-in-law Indira Gandhi had carved the separate State of Haryana and her husband Rajiv Gandhi had unveiled a futuristic vision, which was being successfully implemented in the State by Mr. Hooda.

Asserting that the country should march ahead, Ms. Gandhi said both the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh and the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana were committed to the welfare and integral development of all sections.

Ms. Gandhi said the India-U.S. nuclear deal would trigger massive development in several fields, especially in power generation, and would be beneficial to the country.
Tribute to Gandhiji

Paying homage to Gandhiji, the Congress president said the biggest tribute to the Mahatma would be to work towards social unity and communal amity.

“Our success lies most in giving back to the poorest of poor [Daridra Narayan].” It was a matter of pride that Gandhi Jayanthi was declared the International Day of Non-Violence by the United Nations.

Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Kumari Selja presented to Ms. Gandhi a pitcher, symbolising the implementation of the Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Supply Scheme for the poor in Haryana.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda presented a “Charkha” to the Congress president.

He said residential plots of 100 sq. yard would be given free to the Scheduled Castes and the Backward Classes — Block A and Below Poverty Line families including the general category.

The scheme would benefit six lakh poor people and the plots would be allotted by draw of lots.
