घटना ननगरहार प्रांत की है। हमलावरों ने सैनिकों की गाड़ी को निशाना बनाकर बम विस्फोट किया।
इस वर्ष अब तक चरमपंथी हमलों में 60 विदेशी सैनिकों की मौत हो चुकी है।

कंधार शहर के मेयर के काफ़िले पर भी बम से हमला हुआ लेकिन वो बच गए। इस हमले में एक व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई और छह अन्य घायल हुए।
कंधार के ही मैवंत ज़िले में अमरीकी सेना ने पाँच चरमपंथियों को मारने का दावा किया है।
उधर नैटो सेना के लिए पाकिस्तान से अफ़ग़ानिस्तान आ रहे रसद से लदे ट्रकों पर हमला हुआ है जिसमें बीस ट्रकों को नुकसान पहुँचा है।

Three other ISAF soldiers died in Afghanistan on March 14. One was French, another British and the nationality of the third hasn’t been released, according to the report.
A suicide bomber blew up a vehicle packed with explosives in the capital, Kabul, yesterday as a foreign military convoy passed, killing two civilians and injuring 14 others, AFP said, citing the Interior Ministry. Earlier, a bomb exploded in the southern city of Kandahar as the mayor drove past, the news agency cited police as saying. One civilian was killed and six others were wounded and the mayor was uninjured, according to the report.
