गणतंत्र दिवस से एक दिन पहले रविवार तड़के राजधानी दिल्ली से सटे उत्तर प्रदेश के नोएडा इलाके में आतंकवाद निरोधक दस्ता (एटीएस) ने दो संदिग्ध पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों को मार गिराया।

आतंकवादियों के पास से दो एके-47 राइफल, पांच हथगोले, आरडीएक्स, डेटोनेटर, पाकिस्तानी पासपोर्ट, 120 जिंदा कारतूस और 18,000 रुपये नकद बरामद किए गए।

उत्तर प्रदेश के अतिरिक्त पुलिस महानिदेशक और (एटीएस) के प्रमुख बृजलाल ने रविवार को लखनऊ में संवाददाताओं से कहा कि संदिग्ध आतंकवादियों के साथ पुलिस की मुठभेड़ नोएडा के सेक्टर 97 इलाके में तड़के 2.15 बजे हुई। दोनों आतंकवादी सफेद रंग की मारुति 800 कार में सवार थे।

बृजलाल ने कहा कि पुलिस ने जब कार में सवार आतंकवादियों को रोकने का प्रयास किया तो उनलोगों ने पुलिस पर गोलियां चलाई, जिसके बाद पुलिस ने भी जवाबी कार्रवाई की। उन्होंने कहा, “इस बीच कार अनियंत्रित हो गई और वह सड़क से किनारे आ गई। पुलिस के जवानों ने सड़क पर बने डिवायडर की आड़ लेते हुए संदिग्ध आतंकवादियों पर गोलियां चलाईं। संदिग्ध आतंकवादियों की गोली से एटीएस के एक आरक्षी विनोद कुमार सिंह घायल हो गए। उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया है।”

बृजलाल ने कहा कि मुठभेड़ में गंभीर रूप से घायल दोनों आतंकवादियों को अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया, जहां उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया गया। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों आतंकवादियों की पहचान पाकिस्तान के रहीमयार खान का रहने वाला फारुख ऊर्फ अली अहमद और रावलकोट का रहने वाल अबू इस्माइल के रूप में हुई।

बृजलाल ने कहा कि पुलिस आतंकवादियों के स्थानीय संपर्को की जांच कर रही है।

लखनऊ में एटीएस के सूत्रों ने बताया कि जब्त किए गए हथियारों से लगता है इन संदिग्ध आतंकवादियों का संपर्क आतंकवादी संगठन लश्कर ए तैयबा से था। संभवत: इनकी योजना सोमवार को गणतंत्र दिवस परेड के मौके पर तबाही मचाने की थी।

इधर, नोएडा के आरक्षी अनिल समानिया ने कहा कि कार का नंबर प्लेट बजाज चेतक स्कूटर का है, जिसे गाजियाबाद के किसी व्यक्ति ने खरीदा था। उन्होंने कहा कि कार का ईंजन और चेसिस नंबर मिटा दिया गया था।

The Maruti 800 car used by the suspected militants had a fake registration number, and its chassis and engine numbers were also tampered with, the police said.

While the registration number (UP14E9531) was found to be that of a Bajaj Chetak scooter, registered in the name of one Pawan Verma in Ghaziabad, the chassis and engine numbers were illegible, the police said.

Ghaziabad police first picked up Verma from Shahpur-Bamheta village near Lal Kuan for questioning — three others who had bought the scooter from him in turn were also picked up.

Verma told the police that he had sold the scooter some years ago to an acquaintance, a resident of Dadri named Anuj Sharma. According to the police, Sharma in turn said he had sold it to a friend Krishna, who said he sold it a few months after buying to a fruit-seller in Dadri.

A police team then picked up the fruit-seller, Monu, who works in the Dadri fruit mandi.

“The trail led to these people one after the other. We had to bring all of them to the police station for questioning,” a Ghaziabad police officer said.

All four were in custody at Kavi Nagar police station and were being questioned when reports last came in on Sunday evening.

रेणुका चौधरी चाहती है गैंग रेप मुजरिमों को फांसी मिले - जनवरी 8, 2009

नोएडा गैंग रेप मामले को लेकर हो रही आलोचनाओं के बीच अब मुख्यमंत्री मायावती भी लपेटे में आ गई हैं। केंद्रीय महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्री रेणुका चौधरी ने कहा है कि नोएडा रेप केस जैसी घटनाएं बताती हैं कि कानून व्यवस्था पर राज्य सरकार का कितना कंट्रोल है। उन्होंने आरोपी युवकों को किसी भी कीमत पर जमानत न देने की वकालत करते हुए दोषियों के लिए मौत की सजा की मांग की। इस बीच राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग ने गैंग रेप मामले में नीवा कोनवार और वांसुक सियम वाली दो सदस्यीय जांच कमिटी बनाई है। ये सदस्य बुधवार दोपहर मामले की छानबीन के लिए नोएडा पहुंचे।

सहयोगी चैनल टाइम्स नाउ के मुताबिक रेणुका ने कहा 'निठारी कांड, आरुषि कांड और नोएडा में रेप के कई मामले हैं। यह दुख की बात है कि आप इन समस्याओं को नहीं सुलझा पा रहे हो। मुझे लगता है कि आपको (मायावती) प्रधानमंत्री बनने का ख्वाब देखना छोड़ देना चाहिए।'

वैसे रेणुका का मायावती के साथ वाकयुद्ध पहली बार नहीं हो रहा। इससे पहले निठारी कांड और आरुषि मर्डर केस के समय भी दोनों के बीच कहासुनी हो चुकी है। दोषियों को क्या सजा मिलनी चाहिए, इस सवाल पर रेणुका ने कहा कि यह गैर जमानती अपराध है। किसी भी आरोपी को जमानत नहीं दी जानी चाहिए।

The Noida gangrape case gave fresh ammunition today to Union minister Ms Renuka Chaudhary to take on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Miss Mayawati and the fiery Congress leader also favoured death sentence to the accused.

Mr Chaudhary, the minister for Women and Child Development, taunted Miss Mayawati to “stop dreaming” of becoming Prime Minister since yesterday's case of gang-rape of a young unmarried girl in Noida came on the heels of the Nithari and Aarushi cases in her state. She said none of the five youth arrested for allegedly raping the MBA student should get bail.
“How did they think that they can do such a thing and get away. And when that question arises you start questioning the government. “So I think we have to start questioning the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh... what she has to say about this,” she said.

The minister said: “You have Nithari and Aarushi cases, you have Noida rapes. And that is sad if you can't solve the problem. “I think you (Mayawati) should stop dreaming of being the Prime Minister,” said Ms Chaudhary who had earlier also got into a war of words with the BSP chief following the Aarushi murder and the Nithari child killings.

Meanwhile, police have arrested one more person in connection with the rape of the 24-year-old MBA student while five other accused were remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
22-year-old Little, son of Jaibir, was picked up from Garhi Choukandi village this afternoon, police said, adding four other accused were absconding. n PTI

सोमवार देश शाम नोएडा के सेक्टर-71 में एमबीए स्टूडंट के साथ हुए गैंगरेप के बारे में पीड़ित लड़की के साथी अमित पंवार के पिता ने पूरी घटना के बारे में कुछ इस तरह बताया है। अमित के पिता ने बताया है कि उस काली रात को जब मेरा बेटा रात नौ बजे तक घर नहीं पहुंचा, तो मैं बहुत चिंतित था। चूंकि अमित काफी जिम्मेदार नेचर का है, इसलिए वह जब कभी भी लेट होता था, फोन पर जरूर बता देता था। लेकिन उस दिन न ही उसने फोन किया और न ही वह अपना मोबाइल पिक कर रहा था।

मैं परेशान था। मैंने उसके सभी दोस्तों के फोन कर अमित के बारे में पूछा, लेकिन कुछ पता नहीं चला। इसी दौरान मैंन देखा कि अमित और उसकी फ्रेंड दोनों घायल हालत में मेरे ऑफिस आए। मुझे लगा कि शायद दोनों एक्सिडंट का शिकार हुए हैं।

लेकिन जब अमित ने असलियत बताई, तो मेरे पैरों के नीचे से जमीन खिसक गई। वह लड़की हमारी पड़ोसी है और अमित के साथ ही बिजनस स्कूल में पढ़ती है। अक्सर हमारी कॉलोनी के बच्चे कार पूल कर आते-जाते हैं। उस दिन अमित उसी की वैगन आर कार में घर से गया था। क्लास खत्म होने के बाद वे दोनों शॉपिंग करने सेक्टर-18 के 'द ग्रेट इंडिया प्लेस' मॉल गए थे और शाम 5 बजे के करीब जब वे वापस लौट रहे थे, तो करीब आधा किमी. चलने के बाद उन्हें लगा कि दो बाइक उनका पीछा कर रही है। बाइक्स पर 4 लोग सवार थे। अचानक इन लोगों ने कार को घेर लिया और मेरे बेटे से जबरन कार रुकवाई।

करीबन एक घंटे तक वे कार को इधर-उधर घुमाते रहे, शायद वे कोई सुनसान जगह की तलाश में थे। देर शाम अंधेरे के बढ़ने के साथ उनकी हिम्मत भी बढ़ने लगी और उन्होंने चलती कार में लड़की के साथ रेप करना शुरू कर दिया। उनकी हिम्मत इतनी बढ़ चुकी थी कि उन्होंने अपने दोस्तों को भी फोन करके बुलाया। दस लोगों के लड़की के साथ छेड़छाड़ की।

उसके बाद वे लोग कार को सेक्टर 71 में ले गए और वहां पर 10 लोगों ने उस लड़की के साथ रेप किया। रेप के बाद सभी आरोपी वहां से भाग गए। लेकिन मेरे बेटे ने उनकी एक बाइक का नंबर नोट कर लिया था। लेकिन वह मुझे फोन इसलिए नहीं कर पाया, क्योंकि आरोपियों ने उससे मोबाइल, रिस्टवॉच और पर्स छीन लिया था।

मैंने लड़की के परिजनों को अपने ऑफिस बुलाया और फिर हम सेक्टर-39 के पुलिस स्टेशन गए और घटना की रिपॉर्ट कराई। पुलिस ने ऐक्शन लेते हए बाइक नंबर के आधार पर खोजबीन की और आरोपी पकड़ में आ गए। मेरे बेटे की कोहनी में फ्रैक्चर हुआ है, साथ ही उसे काफी चोट भी लगी है। उसके पेट में भी काफी दर्द है और वह अस्पताल में भर्ती है। उस लड़की की हालत भी बहुत खराब है। वह भी अस्तपाल में है।

English Translation:

Noida police claimed to have cracked the MBA student rape case when they arrested five boys of Gali Chowkhandi, who allegedly raped a 24-year old MBA student here Monday night. All boys are said to be in the age group of 18-25 with most of them still studying. The boys have been identified as Pushpendra, Shrikant, Sanjay, Gautam and Toni.

Addressing a press conference Noida Superintendent of Police, Ashok Kumar Tripathy said, "We got the leads in the case from the victim. Based on the girl’s statements we started to look out for the boys -- who play cricket and have formed a team of their own in their locality -- with a WagonR car. We soon nabbed the boys as they were from the village Gali Chowkhandi near the site of the crime. We also recovered cricket equipments and the WagonR car used in the crime.”

A case was registered at Sector 39 police station at around 1:30 am in the wee hours of Tuesday and within 12 hours Gautambudh Nagar police has cracked the case. The accused have been booked under Sections 374, 376 and 392.

"We have also conducted medical examination of the girl which showed only external injuries to her but it has yet to be confirmed whether she was raped or not. As police is still awaiting the medical test of the girl’s internal parts," Tripathy added.

The girl is still in hospital where her condition is said to be critical.

Asked about the security of Noida Tripathy assured the security will be upgraded soon. However, he admitted there are times when law breakers have an upper hand over police and vice versa.

The MBA student was allegedly gangraped by around 8-10 men last night. The group of boys, travelling in a car and motorcycles, caught the girl and pulled her inside their car while she was returning with a male friend after watching a movie in a multiplex.

The group was returning from a cricket match as they were carrying stumps and bats – something they used to overpower the victim’s friend.

The group then took the hapless girl to Gali Chowkhandi village in Sector 71 where they allegedly gangraped her and also assaulted her physically.

However, police is yet to conduct an identification parade as it is waiting for the girl’s medical examination, which will be conducted in Ghaziabad tomorrow as Noida’s government hospital lacks the facility.

Meanwhile, UP's Director General of Police has said that strict action will be taken against the guilty.

Noida’s law and order situation has always been grim. However, of late, it has seen a spurt in crime. A few days back, a person was shot dead in the busy Atta Market in the heart of the city.

In another incident, a girl was kidnapped by some persons while she was shopping in the same market.
