राजा भैया का हेलीकॉप्टर नदी मे गिरा - मार्च 23, 2009

निर्दलीय विधायक रघुराज प्रताप सिंह उर्फ राजा भैया सहित तीन लोग शनिवार शाम यहां चौसा नदी में हेलीकॉप्टर गिर जाने से गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने बताया कि दुर्घटना देर शाम उस समय हुई जब विधायक राजा भैया दो अन्य लोगों के साथ बेती में मौजूद अपनी कोठी से हेलीकॉप्टर उड़ा रहे थे। इसी बीच अचानक हेलीकॉप्टर चौसा नदी में गिर गया।

सूत्रों ने बताया कि राजा भैया हेलीकॉप्टर खुद चला रहे थे कि अचानक कुछ गड़बड़ी जाने के कारण हेलीकॉप्टर नदी में जा गिरा, जिससे राजा भैया के बायें पैर की हड्डी टूट गई जबकि उनके साथ इलाहाबाद निवासी जुल्फकार और एक अन्य साथी गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। राजा भइया सहित तीनों लोगों को उपचार के लिए इलाहाबाद के वीरेंद्र अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।

English Translation:

Controversial Independent MLA and former Uttar Pradesh minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh aka Raja Bhaiya had a close shave when his private aircraft crash-landed in the neighbouring district of Pratapgarh this evening. They were later brought to this city and admitted to a hospital in the Civil Lines locality, where the MLA was reported to have a fracture in his leg while the pilot had suffered head injury, hospital sources said. Although the MLA was admitted to the ICU, both he and the pilot were stated to be out of danger by the hospital authorities. However, preliminary reports quoting police sources had earlier said that three persons including Raja Bhaiya were injured as the chopper with them on board had crashed into the Chausa river in the district.
